Wow. . .the more research I do, the scarier the public school system seems to get. Gold stars for all parents who home school their kids, or who can afford a Christian private school and make spending money on tuition a priority. In conjunction with the tolerance and acceptance of homosexuality in schools comes the attack on Christianity and all conservative values, and thus the students who fall into those categories. The GLBT community always tries to blame their problems on us, the conservative Christians. Well, sorry gang, give it up, it’s not going to fly. Actions have consequences and you’re not going to make the rest of society responsible for your perverted, irresponsible, and self-inflicted life anguish. That’s all on you.

An upcoming “No Name-Calling” campaign for public schools, sponsored by none other then a homosexual activist organization, is prompting concerns from a Christian group, which contends the effort promotes hate, not tolerance.

“Is respect for Christians part of these ‘no-naming-calling’ lessons?” asked Linda Harvey, head of Mission America. “Or does this effort in reality create more division by labeling and stereotyping objections to homosexuality?”

You won’t be surprised what other organizations are sponsoring this program: Anti-Defamation League, Educators for Social Responsibility, the National Education Association and the Planned Parenthood Federation of America. With this ‘no-name-calling’ campaign comes the attempt of GLBT groups to promote their agenda, seek preferential treatment and disrespect Christians. Just like I said in my post yesterday about tolerance training, shouldn’t no-name-calling be a blanket thing, referring to any type of name-calling  not being tolerated on any front, rather then a sneaky way to promote of the homosexual lifestyle?

According to the website, the inspiration for the idea comes from the a book called “The Misfits,” by James Howe about 5 junior high girls, all different, are taunted, one who’s taunted based on her sexual orientation/gender expression.

Motivated by the inequities they see around them, the ‘Gang of Five’ (as they are known) creates a new political party during student council elections and run on a platform aimed at wiping out name-calling of all kinds.

The website said the No Name-Calling Week Coalition, created by Simon & Schuster Children’s Publishing and the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network, or GLSEN, consists of more than 40 national partner organizations. The coalition organized the first No Name-Calling Week in schools across the nation during the week of March 1-5, 2004. This year, No Name-Calling Week will take place next week.

The website claims it wants to focus national attention on the problem of name-calling in school, and that’s nice and all, but don’t be fooled–what they are really trying to bring attention to is how  much they think GLBT people are discriminated against, and how everyone should think being gay or whatever is so great and wonderful. Ick. . .

Mission America’s Harvey, however, insists it’s not hate that is behind opposition to homosexuality.

“There is in fact, grave concern for these kids, lots of prayers, etc.,” she wrote.

The only hate around, Harvey said, is homosexuality itself.

“It hates the natural human body and spirit, and opposes truth at every level. It fights gender integrity as marvelously designed by God. It ‘uglifies’ a person, preventing the full blossom of natural beauty as a young male or female. It is a dead-end affection, fruitless, never creating new life,” she said.

You got that GLBT folks??? It’s not complicated. Daryl Presgraves, the “No Name-Calling” campaign spokesman, said that they sold 4,000 promotion kits to schools all across the U.S., which includes a 27-minute video, a guide with lesson plans, a copy of a book, two posters and 60 stickers.  I’m sure the liberal school administrators think that this program is a bargain at $129 bucks. When asked, Presgraves

declined to confirm whether “homophobia” would be condemned also. He said “any type” of hurtful word should be avoided.

Typical. . .you can’t expect the truth or the straight story out of these people, which I find cowardly.  If  you can’t be honest, then what do you have? This guy is trying to promote a program but he didn’t want to give the real truth about it. Well, I’ll answer that for him. Of course the no name calling list includes homophobia. That is practically the whole point of this thing anyway; this groups wants to tell kids how crappy they are for thinking that homosexuality is wrong. I think that anyone should be able to teach the concept of not calling names without having to explain sexually explicit details of homosexuality to young children.  Its hard to teach children right from wrong with out including religion and the real reason they need to be kind, compassionate, caring. God expects us to be; and Christ is our ultimate example. That’s the reason. And yes, it does include compassion and sympathy for homosexuals and people who are different, but we do not have to think that behavior is ok, nor should we teach our children that it is.

“The whole point is when someone hears a hurtful word, they can say, ‘This hurts me,’ and have a discussion,” [Presgraves] told WND.

Harvey, however, said that simply misses the point.

“‘Gay’ student clubs only add fuel,” she said, “by dwelling on supposed discrimination while urging entry into the behavior. The enemy? Traditionalists – students, teachers, parents – who know how harmful homosexuality is.”

She said bullying students who are acting out homosexually cannot be excused.

“But the solution is not to endorse homosexuality. Instead, we need to get counseling for these troubled kids to help end their self-destructive behavior, at the same time schools should consistently punish all uncivil and unkind treatment by bullies.”

Harvey said such programs “assume that homosexuality as a behavior is something worthy of respect and defense, and that it’s harmless. It’s not. Let’s get it out of kids’ lives.”

That’s the kicker right there. Harvey hits the nail on the head with that statement. The programs do assume, in fact more realistically force students to think that homosexuality is ok and worthy of respect and defense. Homosexuality is not harmless!!!!! I am so disturbed by the lack of compassion exhibited by the GLBT community for the rest of America. Its as if they are wishing for these children, and even everyone else, to experience the kind of anxiety, turmoil, family chaos, sexual perversion and lack of self-esteem that they themselves have experienced being gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgendered. They don’t want these children to experience the sacredness of intimacy within a loving and committed marriage, a real marriage between one man and one woman. They are trying to rob these children of one of life’s essential joys.  None of these GLBT people can say life has been blissful and easy for them, or that they have been happy, they would be lying if they did. They are past the trying phase of agenda execution. so make no mistake they ARE promoting this life of sadness and suffering on America’s children. This is vile behavior at it’s finest!

[Harvey] said the sponsorship of GLSEN should alarm parents [and I hope it does].

“This is the extremist group that helps kids organize homosexual clubs, and has stated a goal to get homosexual student clubs in all schools, kindergarten through 12th grade. Grade school-ers declaring their homosexuality? This is child sexual abuse!” she said.

The solution isn’t that complicated, she contended.

“It’s simple. Schools have to choose, one or the other. Both messages cannot remain with integrity. Either schools need to wise up and remove homosexuality and cross-dressing from the school climate (meaning: remove the propaganda and get help for these kids), or the conservatives and Christians need to go. That’s what is desired – for Christians to leave or be suppressed,” Harvey said.

“Christians are not the oppressors, nor the creators of division in schools. This horrendous behavior is. And it will not end, even if Christians were to leave. Actually, all that’s restraining total barbarism is the few true Christians left,” she said.

Parents, call your child’s school, or district office tomorrow morning promptly, and find out if this program will be taught next week. Pull your child out of school and send them to Grandma’s to visit, or make other arrangements for them if you have to work. This is too important! They don’t need this filth ingrained in their brains and saturating their souls.


The Great Sex-Ed Debate:// Whatever will the Fremont School Board do?

Public school sex education is a huge deal. I don’t think that most parents realize how huge of a deal it is. Maybe if they knew exactly what propaganda and agendas are being taught to their children, they might perk up and pay attention, but then again, maybe not.

Fremont School Board members met last night 01/14, to adopt a new sex education program, after learning last year that their current junior high program was not compliant with California state law.

There have been rumblings that some trustees might be considering removing sex education altogether from the junior high schools.

I say that if they don’t have a decent program, if they want to promote the gay lifestyle and same-sex attraction, then go ahead, loose the program all together. It would likely be in the best interest of the children anyway. I say, have an optional program, maybe several evening seminars over several weeks, where parents could attend with their children, or come alone to learn how to talk to their children about sex, while still being able to preserve their value system by teaching their children at home. Oh wait, the bureaucrats in charge of the public school system do not care about anyone’s value system. I guess it’s nice in theory.

School districts are not required to provide sex education. But those that do are mandated to offer a comprehensive curriculum, meaning that the use of condoms and birth control must be taught in addition to abstinence [and as we have all heard, more and more SSA is being taught and promoted in these public school sex-ed programs].

The school board has reviewed two possible new curricula that are up for possible adoption — one called “FLASH” and another called “Teen Talk”.

Teen Talk was developed by the Teen Pregnancy Coalition of San Mateo County and is used in many Peninsula schools.  7/8 F.L.A.S.H. was developed by the Seattle–King County Department of Public Health and is used throughout the country.

These programs start as early as 4th grade teaching children about HIV. I am stunned and appalled. My husband and I have a 5th grader, and I don’t think that children this young need to be taught about sex as explicitly as these programs teach it, and I certainly don’t think they have a need for HIV info either. Tell them about puberty and teach them from a scientific and medical standpoint about the changes that will occur in their bodies, but HIV. . .? I also find it very strange that in these programs, the STD and HIV lessons are at the bottom. After they have talked to the kids about “touching,” “sexual exploitation,” “gender identification” and “sexual health and hygiene” then they will tell them, well you could get a disease. This is beyond ridiculous. I am so shocked by these programs, that I might just do a little critique of them tomorrow.

This week, several people from the health and sex education advisory committee or the American Civil Liberties Union, which advocates for reproductive rights, said individuals who support an abstinence-only curriculum have been contacting school board members and asking them to do away with sex education.

As reported by the ACLU,

California law states that sex education in public schools must be science-based, free of bias, and include medically accurate, age-appropriate information about abstinence, condoms and contraception in grades 7-12.  California schools may not use “abstinence-only” curricula.

Of course not. That would be leaving too many rights to the parents, if abstinence-only were to be taught. Then they would be able to teach their children what they wanted them to know. Wake up parents! What your children are being taught about sex in school is very much an infringement on your parental rights.

A huge round of applause for these parents who are obviously involved in their children’s education and care about what they are being taught. For those parents on the other side of the fence, who think that their children need a “comprehensive sex ed program,” the ACLU has so graciously offered a form letter that you can sign your name to and email out to the board directly from their website. The ACLU does not need to be involved in advising a school board on their sex-ed program. Do people really believe that a 4th graders sex education falls under the civil rights category? I see it as a gross infringement on that child’s parent’s civil rights. Here’s what the letter says:

Dear [Decision Maker],

As a Fremont community member, I am writing to ask you to follow through on your commitment to the parents and students of FUSD by adopting a medically accurate, comprehensive sex education curriculum for middle school at your meeting on January 14th. The two comprehensive curricula proposed for adoption meet state requirements and have been evaluated and recommended by teachers and the district’s advisory committee.

Comprehensive sex education that includes age-appropriate, accurate information about condoms and contraception as well as abstinence is effective. Students who receive comprehensive sex education are 50% less likely to become pregnant as students who receive abstinence-only education and 60% less likely to become pregnant as those who receive no sex education at all.

At a time when one in four teenage girls has a sexually transmitted disease, according to the CDC, young people more than ever need accurate, responsible information about their sexual health.

I urge you to provide FUSD middle school students with the comprehensive sex education that they deserve and the law requires.

Trustee Ivy Wu, who has been bombarded with emails, advises her children to obstain from premarital sex, however,

“I know that as a board member, I cannot impose my own personal beliefs on other people. … I also understand that there are kids who are already sexually active. For these kids, … they need to know the right way to protect themselves.”

Why not? The school district does. They impose their beliefs on other people’s children all the time. Too bad Trustee Wu didn’t push a little harder for them to do away with sex ed all together. These kids don’t need Fremont school district to teach them about sex. They already know, and if they already know, then they are likely getting their sex-ed from MTV, or hopefully, and more appropriately, their parents, which would trump anything Fremont would say. Those kids watch more MTV (or sex-TV as it should be called) than spend time in any public school sex-ed class. MTV promotes safe sex, so there, problem solved, right?

I wanted to do some research about treatment programs for homosexuality, (I happen to think it’s a very viable option) but during my Internet search, I am across some other interesting information. I do not believe that homosexuality is inherent in the DNA of gay individuals’. I personally believe that it is a trial that some people are given and have to deal with; I also believe that it can be overcome. I am not discrediting the difficulty that gay people face in dealing with their sexuality and everything that comes with that, I can’t even imagine how hard it must be. That being said, it should be no surprise that the gay agenda and the public school system are trying to make it even harder for America’s youth to deal with Same Sex Attraction (SSA) and to overcome it. Understanding more about homosexuality, treatments and the gay activist agenda will better equip all of us in defending traditional marriage.

Apparently the American Psychological Association (APA) has decided that our possibly GLTB at-risk public school students need help, protection and someone to ensure there are no violations of separation of Church and state with regard to homosexuality in public schools. Thus, they along with 12 other organizations that comprise their “coalition,” have so graciously put together a fact-sheet entitled “Just the Facts about Sexual Orientation and Youth: A Primer for Principals, Educators, and School Personnel” which can be found on the APA website.

Now, one would think that the APA ought to know a little something about homosexuality, same-sex attraction, how to treat it, what causes it and how to best help our youth over come it. . . they certainly purport to, however the National Association for the Research and Therapy of Homosexuality has a different opinion. “The fact sheet [which they actually refer to as a political statement] fails to accomplish any of these objectives,” in fact, it puts youth at risk, and violates separation of Church and state.  On the website they have posted their reply to the alleged “facts” presented by the APA.

Listen up parents! The Coalition has mailed copies of their fact sheet to all 16,000 public school superintendents in the United States. That means that like it or not, some or all of this gross homosexual agenda will likely reach your children, and, if Massachusetts is any indication, they probably won’t tell you about it either. Since homosexuals can’t reproduce, and they technically have no way of furthering their “race,” it makes perfect sense that they would be going after our children.

“The Non-Factsheet” written by By Dale O’Leary, author of “The Gender Agenda: Redefining Equality and One Man, One Woman,” and Drs. Dean Byrd, Ph.D., Richard Fitzgibbons, M.D., members of the National Association for the Research and Therapy of Homosexuality dissects the APA’s alleged “facts,” exposes their lies and gives the information that parents and students really need to know.

Students with SSA need to have their real problems properly addressed, their religious beliefs respected, and their health safeguarded. The programs recommended in the factsheet will put them at risk. Other students need to have access to information about both sides of this debate from both sides, not biased non-factual information from those with a clear agenda. This information properly presented, plus exposure to Ex-gays, has been shown to lead to a more compassionate attitude to persons with SSA and a reduction in negative behaviors.
