Most U.S. teens want to be virgins when they marry //

Did you know that a recent survey says that most U.S. teens want to be virgins when they marry? It was news to me. I hadn’t realized that a large portion of teens were concerned with this.

My sister teaches Junior High math in a Southern California public school. Let’s just say she has a very interesting job working with today’s youth. Many teens seem to be lacking some basic moral character. It’s very sad, and honestly something that can really only be fixed in the home. Teaching children correct principles and values is the role of the parents, but unfortunately, many have quit that job and left their children to fend for themselves.

However, a recent study presents some marginally happy news. And considering how much trash kids today are exposed to, and how many of them have little to no parental supervision or guidance, LifeSiteNews.com posted an article about some positive findings from a poll conducted last year by

Drs. Rene Paulson and Jacquelyn Pennings under the auspices of the Christian youth research and outreach organization OneHope as part of their Spiritual State of the World’s Children study. . .recruited [teens] to take the online survey through a panelist company and through social networking websites.

The survey found that 61 percent of youth ages 13 to 18 would like to be virgins when they get married.

Additionally, 63 percent said that, presuming they had lost their virginity, they would change the past if possible and regain it.

I wonder how, if so many teens think that being a virgin when they get married is important, they certainly seem to act otherwise? I’m in complete agreement that the media and television play a huge role in this, in addition to absentee parents who fail to provide the essential moral teachings that these teens so desperately need.  The study addressed the loose morals found in a majority of television shows.

A press release from OneHope announcing the release of the study today said the results of the survey were “surprising” given the high teen exposure to sexually explicit media content such as the controversial MTV program “Skins.”

According to a report by the Parents Television Council, two-thirds (64 percent) of all TV shows contain “sexual content” – anything from flirting to intercourse.

Additional data about U.S. teens’ beliefs and values revealed in this survey include some troubling aspects of the influence of media on children, such as:

BigGovernment.com Gives Thanks For The Internet//

Big Government.com gives thanks for the internet and the rest of us should too!

Big Government.com posted a really great story the other day about the internet, and how it empowers the dissemination of the truth, real information, and more importantly, information that the lame-street media doesn’t want us to know. The internet is amazing because anyone can post whatever they want, a researcher, or reporter or anyone who would like to share their political savy with the world, can  post whatever they want. And they don’t have to answer to some editor being controlled by bureaucratic cronies or advertisers. They can just post whatever they want and it’s there, on the internet for all to see.

Big Government talked about being particularly grateful for the internet:

Thanks to the Internet, and the Army of Davids it has empowered, the mainstream media no longer possess a strangle hold on information. They no longer get to decide what we know about the people and organizations that effect our daily lives.

In direct terms, this means that when SEIU thugs beat up a black conservative at a health care town hall meeting, the whole world gets to see it via the internet.

And when those thugs are outed as Health Care for America (HCAN) coordinated responders to criticism of Obamacare, the whole world can take it upon themselves to learn about HCAN, using Google and other fabulous tools of the internet.

And when the world learns that HCAN is primarily a function of a group called USAction, they can investigate who USAction is using the same fabulous tools of the Internet.

And when the world learns that USAction was founded by DSA-Marxist 60’s radicals named Heather and Paul Booth, they can take it upon themselves to learn more about USAction, like that their president and spiritual leader, William McNary, is a BIG TIME communist sympathizer. And that valuable information can be spread far and wide for all to see, complete with video documentation of the facts, all without the lamestream media being able to sweep it under the rug on behalf of their favored candidates.

Same-sex marriage double media standard// gay couple wants privacy during their “divorce”

Dallas same-sex divorce case a first for Texas–

These types of antics and double standards are so typical of leftist, liberal, and  GLBT groups. A gay couple who was married in Massashusetts, moved back to Texas and has now filed for divorce. They want anonoymity. . .

But on Wednesday one of the pair, citing “discord or conflict of personalities,” asked a state district court in Dallas to void the union in what is believed to be the first such action in Texas.

A bit of confusion in the court over this one. Some say they can’t really be divorced in a state that doesn’t even recognize their union, others say they have to be “divorced” becaues they are “married,” or so says the state of MA.

The double standard is this:  while all of this drama is brewing over their maybe divorce , they want their privacy protected by the media and they want their names left out of the papers!!! Go figure!

“We’ll see what happens,” said attorney Peter Schulte, representing the man who asked that he and his former partner not be identified.

“Personal things could happen to us that wouldn’t happen to other people,” the man said Thursday. “My company has an extremely low tolerance for publicity.”

Personal things huh? Personal things like what has been happening to individuals on the Prop 8 donor list and H8 google map. Yeah, I guess they should be worried if they don’t want to be harassed, threatened, stalked have their property vandalized. They only appreciate the desire and need for privacy when it applies to them.

The reason I post it here is to call attention to the fact that this gay couple, whose marriage in Massachusetts is a public act, asked for and received confidentiality in the newspaper. Normally we only give confidentiality to rape victims and others in extraordinary circumstances.

But I have to put the question to you readers who thought Prop 8 donors should not expect confidentiality — “What are they ashamed of?” one of you rhetorically asked — in the Eightmaps.com situation: Why does this gay couple deserve to have their names kept out of the paper? What are they ashamed of? Why is there a double standard for gay married couples? Should there be?

it is very strange to me to have a couple that wants to be married in the eyes of the law and society, but wants to be treated by the media as if they didn’t exist as a couple. What other married couple would expect that kind of privilege?

Always a double standard and unnecessary drama with the pursuit for same-sex unions to be called marriage. The rules apply to everyone else, but never to them. This situation shouldn’t be given all of this media attention in my opinion. The couple is up in arms because if Texas doesn’t grant them a divorce, they will have to go back to MA and establish residency before they can get divorced there. Too bad guys, the law is the law.

“In the State of Texas, marriage is – and has always been – a union between one man and one woman. To prevent other states from imposing their values on this state, Texas voters overwhelmingly approved a Constitutional amendment specifically defining marriage as a union of one man and one woman,” he said in a written statement. “Because the parties’ Massachusetts-issued arrangement is not a marriage under Texas law, they are asking a Texas court to recognize – and dissolve – something that does not legally exist.”

Their attorney argues that the “Full Faith and Credit Clause” of the U.S. Constitution, forces TX to recognize the marriage from MA and therefore grant the couple a divorce, however,

from another federal perspective, the Defense of Marriage Act recognizes only marriages between a man and woman and allows states to do the same.

The  couple appears to be a tad bitter and says that they shouldn’t have to go back to MA for their divorce, and that they shouldn’t be treated differently than any other married couple. Oh really????

‘Media Malpractice’: Documentary Reveals How Little Obama Voters Knew About Issues

It’s really easy to make the connection between the liberals who are against Proposition 8, and the Liberals who voted for Obama. They are some of the same people. So if they don’t know about issues related to the Presidential election, they likely and in some cases, obviously, don’t know much about the fundamentals of Proposition 8 either. I can’t help but think that if same-sex marriage proponents knew more about politics, history, the Constitution and the effects of same-sex marriage on children, families and societies that they would be more peaceful, kind and accepting of the voters and the Passage of Prop 8. But then again……I don’t think that a lot of the opposition cares to educate themselves on pertinent issues of politics, civil rights and the voting process. My “bandwagon theory” holds true. How many of the No protesters are just protesting for fun…to socialize..to feel like they are taking a stand? But how much do these people really know about the actual issues involved?

Watch the video and decide for yourself………….
