California Supreme Court upholds Proposition 8//

The voters, and now the California Supreme Court, have spoken.

Marriage = 1 Man + 1 Woman. That’s it!!!!!

Today, the California Supreme Court announced their decision to uphold Proposition 8, and the will of the voters, in a 6 to 1 decision!!! Only 1 dissenting vote. Marriage in California is now legally defined in our Constitution as only between 1 man and 1 woman. I totally agree with my blogger friend Pearl, when she said:

I am immensely relieved that this state’s judiciary was inspired to reaffirm the right of the people of California to amend our own Constitution as we see fit.

Society, families and children will benefit from this  preservation of marriage! As for the 18,000 same-sex couples who got married last year during a small window when it was legal, the court has ruled that they will remain valid. I find it interesting though, that these folks think they are married, in a state where our constitution clearly says their marriages aren’t “valid or recognized.” Married or not, homosexual couples retain the same rights under California’s domestic partnership laws,  so hopefully they will learn to be happy with that. They aren’t being deprived of any civil rights like they try to convince everyone they are. I’m just happy that the court didn’t let them hijack real marriage.

The Supreme Court’s website is most likely overloaded, so I haven’t been able to read the justices’ opinions yet. I’ll post more info later! Prop 8 made history today for a 2nd time. I hope that now all of the other states will follow suit…it seems like a lot of them have been willy-nilly passing pro SSM laws lately, but since we know that the nation watches, and often follows, California, hopefully today’s decision will have a positive influence when it comes to preserving marriage in other states.

{p.s.} Pearl, I stole tags from your post! They was awesome! Thanks!!!!

Gays Asking For Special Treatment, Not Equal Rights//

Haven't heard the GLBT's yet? Don't worry they're still screaming...

Haven't heard the GLBT's yet? Don't worry they're still screaming...

What happened to the land of the free and the home of the brave? This so-called greatest country in the world is turning itself into the land of the free-as-long-as-you-are-tolerant-of-the-things-we-choose and the home of the cry babies.

The biggest argument coming from this ever-growing group is that homosexuals do not receive the same rights as heterosexuals. But in reality, they do. A man who professes to be gay has the same right as a straight man: to marry a woman.

Homosexuals are fighting for so-called freedoms, but they already have actual freedoms, the very freedoms listed  in the First Amendment of the Constitution of the United States of America, the very same freedoms that every American has, gay or not.

In short, what is happening to America is the downfall of equality and the rise of privilege. Not privilege for everyone, but for those who consider themselves oppressed. The so-called minorities are searching for an exclusive place in society, and the government is handing it over.

So much for equality– because what homosexuals and their agenda filled backers are really fighting for are “special” rights; those different from and above and beyond what anyone else has. Why should we change all of the rules for them?

They lobby for the particular privilege to marry the same sex – an entitlement no person has. It isn’t equal rights these people want – it’s an exclusive allowance they’re searching for.

So this begs the question, do they deserve an exclusive allowance? Translation–do they deserve special treatment just because they don’t like being a minority, not a minority in a  legally “protected class” kind of way, because no one outside of the GLBT community and their supporters is worried about protecting this alleged minority, but minority as in they participate in  activities and live a lifestyle that most people believe  is immoral and unacceptable. GLBT drama isn’t going to win a popularity contest, and Californians have already made that very clear.

Sorry guys…in my opinion, being associated with said immoral sexual activities by your own choice and of your own doing  does not mean that you should get your own lane on the 405 fwy so-to-speak. You have to drive with everyone else who wants to use that freeway and follow the rules that have already been established as the best and safest for all involved.  If you cause a ruckus, or spin your car out of control, you’re going to get run over… like you did on Nov 4th! (Like that analogy? I just came up with it on the fly…lol…)

But gay marriage is just the introduction to the fight. The quest for the exceptional right to unnaturally marry has spawned an entirely new argument: discrimination.

{ The Sharks Are Circling…and they’re hungry!!!! }

The harassment, intimidation, tantrum-throwing, nastiness, name-calling, and all around horrible behavior from same-sex marriage proponents and gay rights activists, continues. Stay out of the water ladies and gentlemen. Keep away from the sharks!!!! Protect yourself, your marriages and your families. Get informed, do your research and be prepared to fight for morality and for our society! Thanks for your YES vote on prop 8, but the opposition is still circling and we need to say involved. We can’t let them intimidate us, or indoctrinate us, even though they are trying very hard to do so.

Here is a link to the blog “I Support”, which chronicles the Aggressive & Intolerant Gay Campaign Over Prop 8 Loss, in this post

It’s really sad that the gay rights activists don’t practice the free-speech, tolerance, acceptance and civil rights for all, that they purport to preach. My husband and I just got back from a Sonoma, CA Inn and Spa getaway weekend. It was so relaxing and nice to enjoy the peace and quiet of the spa, get a massage, and see the gorgeous countryside of Sonoma. It seems like the gay rights activists just need a chill-out weekend. They need to relax, get a massage and take a step back from all of the hatred. It seems like the bandwagon-ers just feed off of each other. On Dr. 90210 last night, one of the doctors was telling his patient that anxiety is contagious. The Mother and daughter were getting treatments at the same time and were making each other nervous. It seems like the hatred and bitterness from same-sex marriage proponents kind of works the same way. There are more and more people jumping on the band wagon, wanting a piece of the action and feeding off of the frenzied hatred disguised as “civil rights” mantra of the opposition. I think they need to reflect a little more on the effect their actions and promotion of the gay lifestyle has/will have on society. I am of the opinion that most of them simply don’t care how their actions affect society. A lot could be solved with a little more perspective on their part and a massage or two.

If you want to still participate in the fight to protect traditional marriage, or if you want to get involved for the first time, here are some tips for doing so. These were written before the election, but some of the great ideas are still great to do now. We have to make sure that positive information is still out there when people go searching for it. People get a great deal of their news and info from the internet; we have to help make it available. Three times last week, after I posted info here on my blog, a day or even two later it showed up on Fox News, Bill O’Reilly or some other show. The internet is faster then even the news media, so we need to keep working!!!!

{ The Free Speech Debacle… }

I got this post as a comment from one of my readers, and I thought it was great, so I wanted to post it as a new post so readers would see it. Proud California 70%…..send me your name or alias if you want credit and I’ll add it to this post. Thanks for the insight and comment! Free speech is not just for homosexuals and those who agree with them. Free speech is for everyone in this country and it’s time the No camp got on board with that. Or else take it up with the voters and see what they have to say about it, after all, that’s what the Yes on 8 campaign did…..The voters have spoken, and we will continue to exercise our right to free speech.

Proud California 70% replied:

“This is getting ridiculous! They already tried to hijack the civil rights movement to fit their sexual preference, & now they are forcing homosexuality on the world!

The continued expansion of the homosexual agenda has increasingly become an attack on our First Amendment Right to Free Speech. Over the last several years, increasing proliferation of the idea that any statement that criticizes, disagrees with, or opposes homosexuality in any way, has been regarded socially, and increasingly politically, as discrimination and elevated to the status of a racial slur. It has become career suicide to call someone a homosexual, even if they are! Free speech is ultimately about free thinking and the right to expression, and that is what is at stake. As Americans, we used to be free to dislike, disagree with, and even exclude people for an infinite number of socially and legally acceptable reasons.
You can still tease or criticize people who are over-weight, old, short, funny looking, unfashionable, etc, and its perfectly ok. And what about attorneys, who are clearly the most hated group in America because of their chosen profession? But after a very successful marketing campaign, homosexuals have become a hyper-protected special interest group with an insatiable appetite for privileges that jeopardize the rights of others to disagree with them. Opponents to Prop 8 make ridiculous statements like “chickens have more rights in California than gays,” pointing to a ballot measure that was passed under which chickens got the right to have cages big enough to stretch their legs. So far there have been no reported incidents of any chickens getting married. Gays have been extraordinarily successful in convincing others that they are disadvantaged and mistreated. The homosexual agenda is intent on driving heterosexuals “into the closet” and prohibiting any speech that gay activists don’t approve of. It is to the point that much of the media will demonize anyone who dares to challenge the gay rights agenda. Making anti gay speech into a discrimination issue is aimed at making the heterosexual viewpoint illegal, both as a matter of civil and criminal law. The news has been littered with examples of public figures who have suffered swift and extreme political, professional, and social consequences for expressing heterosexual view points.
The right to free speech is very much at risk, and the cost for sentimentality for gay privilege will cost far more than most people realize.”

{ Blogger Editoral: Wow…Looks like the opposition is getting a little fired up at my blog… }

I guess I should rephrase…I love comments from people who are intelligent, civilized, can communicate with out name calling, and respect that people can have different opinions and beliefs then they do.

…I’m not going to post the 2 nasty comments I got today. This isn’t an open forum for the opposition, it’s MY blog and for people who want to post positive comments. If they want to write hateful comments, then they should get their own blog. However I do find it really interesting that they would take the time to read my blog and then take even more time to write a comment. I don’t waste my time reading the opposition’s blogs, but apparently they seem to care what all of us YES on 8 supporters have to say. One comment said that I’m judgmental….I’m not judging anyone, just exercising my civil right to free speech, to cast my vote as I wish and support the causes I believe in. Isn’t that what they are doing? Oh, but they seem to think that the Yes on 8 people are the ones with the problem, because the opposition has disguised their fight as racial and in support of civil rights for all (or whatever they say). The commenter also said I was racist….since when is being gay/lesbian a “race?” I must have missed that in all of my years of elementary school, high school and college. I guess they better start protesting in front of all of the CA State Universities, (because that’s where I went to school), and tell them that their professors are leaving homosexuals out when they lecture on “race.” I can’t believe the NO camp isn’t more upset about that. Maybe these two comment-ers are just part of what I call my “Bandwagon Theory.” Perhaps they just have too much time on their hands, and they are browsing all of the Prop 8 blogs to see what’s going on in the world. Maybe they didn’t even vote, and now they want to be “in” on all of the protesting and hate action. Just to be clear, I’m not blogging for them…….I guess my target audience has more of what some would call an open-mind, and also morals, values, integrity and and appreciation for traditional marriage and family. Hopefully I can share my views and beliefs and have a positive influence on people who are still looking for info about Prop 8, protecting traditional marriage and conservative politics.

Thanks for reading! And thank you for all of your positive and insightful comments!
