BigGovernment.com Gives Thanks For The Internet//

Big Government.com gives thanks for the internet and the rest of us should too!

Big Government.com posted a really great story the other day about the internet, and how it empowers the dissemination of the truth, real information, and more importantly, information that the lame-street media doesn’t want us to know. The internet is amazing because anyone can post whatever they want, a researcher, or reporter or anyone who would like to share their political savy with the world, can  post whatever they want. And they don’t have to answer to some editor being controlled by bureaucratic cronies or advertisers. They can just post whatever they want and it’s there, on the internet for all to see.

Big Government talked about being particularly grateful for the internet:

Thanks to the Internet, and the Army of Davids it has empowered, the mainstream media no longer possess a strangle hold on information. They no longer get to decide what we know about the people and organizations that effect our daily lives.

In direct terms, this means that when SEIU thugs beat up a black conservative at a health care town hall meeting, the whole world gets to see it via the internet.

And when those thugs are outed as Health Care for America (HCAN) coordinated responders to criticism of Obamacare, the whole world can take it upon themselves to learn about HCAN, using Google and other fabulous tools of the internet.

And when the world learns that HCAN is primarily a function of a group called USAction, they can investigate who USAction is using the same fabulous tools of the Internet.

And when the world learns that USAction was founded by DSA-Marxist 60’s radicals named Heather and Paul Booth, they can take it upon themselves to learn more about USAction, like that their president and spiritual leader, William McNary, is a BIG TIME communist sympathizer. And that valuable information can be spread far and wide for all to see, complete with video documentation of the facts, all without the lamestream media being able to sweep it under the rug on behalf of their favored candidates.

George Washington’s 1789 Thanksgiving Day Proclamation//

Dinner is over, the guests have gone home and now we’re just all lounging around in our what we call  after Church “Sunday Comfies.” I found this really cool document authored by one of my favorite US Presidents, George Washington, and thought I would post it up to share with my readers. I love this!

A Proclamation Signed in Script Type by George Washington
Appearing in The Massachusetts Centinel of October 14, 1789

WHEREAS it is the duty of all nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey His will, to be grateful for His benefits, and humbly to implore His protection and favour; and Whereas both Houses of Congress have, by their joint committee, requested me “to recommend to the people of the United States a DAY OF PUBLICK THANSGIVING and PRAYER, to be observed by acknowledging with grateful hearts the many and signal favors of Almighty God, especially by affording them an opportunity peaceably to establish a form of government for their safety and happiness:”

Is the Letter Real? 95 Year Harold Estes Old Tells Obama to Shape up//

Here is an email letter circulating the Internet.

The validity is still to be determined but the point is still clear.

I have a few thoughts on this: If Mr. Estes didn’t write the letter, then why didn’t someone take credit by using their own name, I mean, obviously someone wrote it; and on the flip side of that, again, obviously someone wrote it, so why would one need to wonder if Mr. Estes is his real name? It seems that people always seem to question “who wrote . . .? ” when ever something courageous, poignant, and patriotic surfaces, take for example Jody McLoud and his football speech. . .

This gentleman makes some great points. I hope this letter really was mailed to the President.

This venerable and much honored WW II vet is well known in Hawaiifor his seventy-plus years of service to patriotic organizations and causes all over the country. A humble man without a political bone in his body, he has never spoken out before about a government official, until now. He dictated this letter to a friend, signed it and mailed it to the president.

Dear President Obama,

My name is Harold Estes, approaching 95 on December 13 of this year. People meeting me for the first time don’t believe my age because I remain wrinkle free and pretty much mentally alert.

I enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1934 and served proudly before, during and after WW II retiring as a Master Chief Bos’n Mate. Now I live in a “rest home” located on the western end of Pearl Harbor, allowing me to keep alive the memories of 23 years of service to my country.

One of the benefits of my age, perhaps the only one, is to speak my mind, blunt and direct even to the head man.

So here goes. {Click here to continue reading. . .}

In the Spirit of Thanksgiving//

Random people on the streets of New York City share a variety of grateful responses to one simple question: What are you thankful for?

This is the coolest video ever! It’s so touching and I love hearing what other people are Thankful for. It’s posted on lds.org, the official website for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, as well as on the Mormon Messages YouTube Channel.

I love this time of year and reflecting on all that I have to be grateful for. I am so blessed and happy and thought I would share just a few of the things that I’m grateful for, otherwise I’d be here all day:

my family, my Savior Jesus Christ, my amazing husband, our super cute kids that make me smile, that my husband has a great job and one that he loves, that I have amazing parents and siblings and that we are all best friends, my education, my freedoms from being an American, the people who fight for my freedoms, my health, answers to my prayers, that my husband thinks that I am the only woman he knows capable of rational thought process, so I guess that means I’m not crazy-moody lol…, that it’s like the Food Network in my Mom’s kitchen every time I come to visit my parents :) We all love to cook and my Mom and my sister are amazing at it, actually my brothers and my Dad are too! We each took a turn cooking for the family this week since we’ve been home and it’s been really fun. . . and I could go on and on…….

I hope you all have a very wonderful and Happy Thanksgiving! Post up your Thanksgiving comments below! Thanks for reading!

Why Shouldn’t Obama Have to Produce his Birth Certificate// he works for us

This controversial Obama billboard showed up in a suburban Denver town.

Personally I think it’s kind of cool when people are gutsy and stand up for what they believe in! If people want to know if the president is really a US citizen, then he should produce proof. The fact that he’s being totally aloof makes this whole thing seem sketchy. This man has every right to post whatever he wants on his own property. Anyone who disagrees has clearly not read the Constitution. Read-up folks!

Also, why should Obama get a “get out of jail free card?” The rest of us have to product our Social Security Card, Driver’s License etc., etc., etc., whenever we get a job, why shouldn’t Obama have to for this job?

Read the Fox31 News article here. . . that I found via Drudge Report. Love that website!!!

In Praise of Stay-At-Home-Moms//

Dr. Laura and Stay-At-Home Moms

I’m a super huge fan of Dr. Laura. She is right-on most of the time, and I love listening to her show, reading her books, and learning from her.

She read the following letter over the air on Thursday. I was listening to a replay of her show on satellite radio late on Thursday night on my way to the San Francisco airport to pick up my husband from his week of traveling for work. This is the sweetest recount from a woman who really understands what family means and the importance of being a parent.

I wanted to share this with all of my readers because it is important for parents to understand their proper role in the rearing of their children. Basically, they need to be there to do it, and not hand off their children to someone else.  Children need to have their Mothers home with them, and they need to know that they are loved and appreciated. They need to feel safe and secure, and those are things that they don’t get at daycare.

I am very blessed to have a husband who willingly goes out and slays dragons for me and the kids everyday, no complaints. He’s an amazing husband and an amazing Father.

I had A Terrible Night Last Night And I Am Thankful!

Dear Dr. Laura,Yes, you read that subject correctly. I had a terrible night and I am thankful for it!! I had an epiphany last night as I cradled my 4 year old who caught a cold. But first I need to tell you about my night. My 9-month old caught a cold a few nights ago, on my birthday in fact, and kept me up all night that night. Well he’s sleeping a little better now, but he still struggles with congestion.

So last night he was having a hard time staying asleep because he couldn’t breathe too well through his nose. So figuring he needed some extra TLC I cradled him while he slept for about an hour. Then when my arms could not take it any more I placed him in his crib. I climbed into bed, at about midnight, thankful for sleep, as I’d had a little bit of insomnia the night before. As I started drifting off to sleep, I hear this tiny knock upon my door. {Click here to continue reading. . .}

This Missouri Congressman wants you to STOP COMPLAINING// or probably just to stop calling his office…

It sounds like our elected officials are sick of our input, or what they like to call “complaining!”

So it appears that three-term Congressman Emanuel Cleaver (D-MO) is pretty tired of all of the phone calls, emails and letters that he’s receiving from his constituents who want to let their elected representative know how they feel about issues, his job performance, you name it. That’s right, this congressman wants to do away with complaining! At least for one day a year. Sounds like he wants to have an extended Thanksgiving vacation where no one calls and emails complaints, probably so that he can have an extra day off.

This congressman has proposed and co-authored a complete-waste-of-time bill that would make the day before Thanksgiving each year, a no-complaining day! While I love that this is apparently focused on something other then helping Obama destroy our country and micro manage our health care, is this really what an elected official, on the public’s dole, needs to to be focusing on?

Reducing Poverty by Revitalizing Marriage in Low-Income Communities// a memo to president obama

dollarstepswith-bg

It always astounds me why people so quickly discredit decades of research, and seem to simply want to ignore the status of our current society. Examine the info below for yourself and see if you can figure out why our so-called President and his cronies don’t want to preserve marriage, or help people really get out of poverty.

I mean, he doesn’t want to preserve any of our other rights and liberties, so it’s not surprising that he doesn’t care about preserving marriage either. Marriage and all it stands for and does for society is so contrary to what Obamination is trying to accomplish. If you haven’t noticed yet, then you should start to look around at the insane policies he’s trying to pass. Obama and his cohorts want American’s currently in poverty to remain there, and those who aren’t, well, he’s certainly helping us on our way. Poverty = reliance on the government, and a loss of freedom. The more people the government has to take care of, the larger it needs to be; theoretically speaking. Obama’s administration is trying very hard to make sure that marriages don’t succeed and that people “need” the government. Everyone’s probably heard the statistic that says that the number one reason for divorce is money. Well, forcing economic hardship and stress on to practically every American family is certainly a way to destroy them. Very clever Obama…..

The Heritage Foundation examined the relationship between poverty and marriage and has drafted up a little memo to our President. Here are some highlights from their Memo:

Happy Veteran’s Day!//

rememberveteransday-photo

So I’ve totally missed blogging, but real life comes first and so that’s what I have been doing. My husband and my family come before blogging. But there has been so much going on lately that I don’t even know where to start. While I do a little more research and decide what to post on first, let’s start with

Happy Veteran’s Day! And a huge Thank You to all of those who have fought for my freedom and that of my family. And also to those who are still fighting. You are all very much appreciated and loved and I am grateful for your service and selflessness!
