Following a statement declaring our rights to govern ourselves and stating where those rights come from, the Declaration of Independence enumerates a long list of grievances which the people had against their government in England. I think that it is time that we write another list of grievances which we, the people, have against our current government.
I have begun the list here with a few of my items. I know that this is but a small fraction. If you have items feel free to add them by responding in the comments. Perhaps we will then compile them in the form of a petition to our government and send it around for signatures. Add your items to the list!!
Grievances which the people of United States have against their Government:
- It has extorted personal property in order to give it to others through taxation for the intent of redistributing wealth.
- It has perpetrated the largest Ponzi scheme in history in the name of Social Security by extorting funds from the population claiming these would be held for retirement all the while absconding these funds to squander on political pork projects to enhance its own power while expecting future generations to cover the void.
- Members of all branches have violated their oath to uphold and defend the constitution by enacting and signing laws that are not constitutional.
- The executive branch has appointed officers without the consent and approval of the Senate.
- The executive branch has initiated legislation, an action not enumerated to the executive branch.
- It has established bureaucracies with authority beyond any single branch of government, ie. the separation of powers enumerated in the constitution has been ignored and a single bureaucracy has been empowered to make rules, enforce rules and levy punishments without due process. Numerous bureaucracies have been established with this power.
- It has usurped the rights of states by subverting the interstate commerce clause. {This is a biggie folks…the government has gotten away with so much nonsense just by purporting that it falls under this clause}.
- It has usurped the rights of states by assuming upon itself powers not enumerated in the constitution which are therefore “reserved to the states and to the people”.
- The Legislative Branch has allowed the Executive branch to usurp powers from it.
- The Judicial Branch has usurped Legislative powers.
- It has allowed the establishment of a central bank, not authorized by the constitution.
- It has violated the constitution by subverting personal property rights through enacting environmental laws which prohibit the free use of ones own property.

I am please to bring you a guest post today. Submitted by my Dad, who writes under the name of Commodore, (and who is NOT a slumlord, for those of you who misread the previous post about housing). Enjoy!

Insights into The Declaration of Independence
If you have read the Declaration of Independence then you know that in the second paragraph it states:
“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. — That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed”.
There are so many topics that could be discussed based on just these two sentences alone. But what I would like to point out is that our liberty comes from our Creator, not from our Government!! There are many in our government that would have us believe that there is no Creator, in which instance then, our Creator could not have endowed us with Life and Liberty. And it follows then that these things must come from our Government which becomes the benefactor of all things.
The second sentence states that Government derives its powers from us, the people. You can argue that if our Creator did not give us our rights and liberty and that they actually come from our Government then powers must flow from the Government to the People as well and not the other way around.
You can see the motivation of our government to discredit the existence of a Creator. If they can do that then they discredit the authority of the People.
When government receives it powers from the people it acts as a limiting force upon government. If government receives its authority from the people then government can not possess any authority that the people themselves do not possess. The people can not grant authority to the government that they themselves do not have to grant. Yet we see government exercising authority which the people do not have. When you see this happening then you know that government is getting out of control. For example, people do not have the authority to take what belongs to someone else and give it to another or to keep it for themselves. Yet you see this happening all the time by government in the form of redistribution of wealth and in many of the environmental laws which restrict the use of private property.
When we allow the government to destroy our Creator we are simply allowing them to discredit the source of our life, liberty and right to pursue happiness and our right to exercise authority over our own government. Everyone has the right to choose but do not be deceived by the rhetoric of the day. By denying nature’s God you deny your right to freedom and lay your fate at the hands of a government that is swiftly becoming tyrannical.

Don’t just peer in at the conservatives, open the door, grab a chair and find out what you’re missing!
I’ll have more political insights on Monday, but for now…. I have just one question…
When liberal haters of all things conservative and truth-based take their time reading my blog, and writing nonsense in the comments section, (half of which I delete with out reading), and then hop over to their own blog and write an entire post about me and my post, and my views, and my stories, does that make me famous in the blogosphere?
Sure seems like it… they say there’s no such thing as bad press!
I can certainly tell you that I have better things to do then stalk around crazy liberal blogs where the blogger writes things totally contrary to what I believe in. Who has time for that? Besides, I have no interest in what liberal bloggers have to say. But they seem to take quite an interest in us conservatives. Is it kind of like them spying on the opposing team’s strategy session before a big game? But usually all they can come up with is “journalista is a bad writer” (like I care what you think…) and “her post infuriated me (lol… maybe you should look at the facts and stop getting so “infuriated”) I don’t really get it, but they continue to cyber-stalk us and our friends, they get infuriated by our posts which I think is totally hilarious, and they leave ridiculous comments, and try to derail the post topic discussion; and then go bad-mouth us on their own blog or their liberal friends’ blogs, and waste even more of their time talking about us over there (sorry, totally a run-on sentence….is that “bad writing?”).
If you’ll notice, liberal-haters-of-conservative-truth can never intelligently argue the real issues, the only thing they can do is launch wanna-be personal attacks and say how insane we are. They always seem never to “get” what exactly we are really posting about, and instead extrapolate all sorts of other ideas for what they think or want the post to be about. Their arguments aren’t based in reality or on facts, it’s all emotional and completely void of logical reasoning and intelligent political theory. Read all you want, comment all you want, just know that we totally know your game.
I ask my liberal readers…where do your liberal values come from? What are they based on?
For me, my conservative values and beliefs come from my LDS religion, my views on economics and my conservative political ideology. All three of these complement and support each other. I’m not all over the map, I don’t blow around in the wind, I don’t sit on the fence, I don’t change my mind from policy to social program and back again. I am not confused wondering what to vote on this or that , because I have my belief system solidly in place.
So, thanks for the support from all of my conservative, marriage and family, and political blogger friends! You guys are the best. I know most of us have been under attack and it doesn’t really phase us in the least. And for all of the liberal cyber-stalkers and journalista haters…. I’m not writing for you. I’m writing for people who are actually looking for facts and information, and people who want to learn about conservative views and values. Everyone is welcome here, regardless of your political views, just keep an open mind and you might actually learn something new.

We are excited to announce the launch of Servir.gov – the Spanish-language companion to Serve.gov. As the nation celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month, this new website will make it easier for Spanish-speakers to find or organize volunteer projects in their communities.
Just what we need, a Spanish version of ACORN, and Obama telling them how to volunteer aka organize! I have to say that it’s amazing that I came out of the Liberal California State University system with a degree in Political Science, unscathed! But in all of my polic sci classes I never once had a lecture on community organizing. In fact, I had never even heard of it until Obama came on the scene. Now we have ACORN. My eyes are wide open! Thanks Glenn!

You’ve got that right! A dot gov website all in Spanish! Are they serious with this? I can not believe that the President is confused about exactly what language we speak in this country…. I’m sure he’s not confused, but he definitely likes to cater to illegal immigrants, give them our money and free health care, while the hardworking and responsible Americans foot the bill for all of it.
I have to admit, I don’t mind them being here. I just think that if they work, they should pay taxes like everyone else. And if they aren’t legal, the government shouldn’t be footing their bill. Living in S. California it’s nice to have someone to clean my house and keep up the yard and help me flip my houses for a really cheap price, and most illegal immigrants that I have met are really sweet, but I also don’t think that my tax dollars need to go to individuals who broke the law and came to this country illegally. If they’re here illegally, and don’t pay taxes, then they should not benefit from those of us who do put money into the system…I mean, that have our money stolen from us by the government and put into the system.
I believe, as I do about all political things, that the government needs to stick to the writings of the Constitution and that government should be limited. Our governments, state and federal need to stay out of the babysitting-illegal-immigrants business. If health care is going to be provided to non-tax paying individuals, then we need to let capitalism take over. Free health care and other social programs need to come from private charity organizations. They can open and run and fund free clinics and if you don’t
have insurance, and if you’re here illegally, and you get sick, you can seek medical care from a private run and funded facility. I’m not saying we shouldn’t be charitable, I’m just saying that the organizations that my money goes to should be MY choice, NOT Obama’s.Those who believe in giving illegal immigrants heath care and other services, should be able to donate their money to those causes. Everyone should not have money stolen for the causes that line the pockets of the politicians friends and eventually their own pockets as well.

So, the government is trying to convince everyone how much they want to help Americans huh? How helpful was this?
So I had an interesting discussion with my brothers and my Dad today. My Dad has this friend, well actually he’s never met her, but my brother has. She answered the door naked one day when my little bro went over to her apartment to check out an electrical issue. Interesting meeting…… Anyway….
See, she used to be a tenant of my Dad’s in one of his apartment units. Well, she couldn’t make rent, she moved out, found a cheaper place in town, and one day sent my Dad a letter saying that her building had been condemned by the city, and that she had been evicted and had to move by last Sunday. A sign from a supporter at the Quincy, IL Rally yesterday. I love it!
I was feeling icky yesterday, so my Dad and my hubby went to The 9/12 Project Rally in Quincy, IL with out me. Here is some info from my Dad about the rally:
We went to the protest rally Saturday in Quincy, Illinois. It was at the park where the Lincoln/Douglas debates took place. It was really great with a ton of people there, I’d say about 3 to 5,000. They had a lot of main stream people there speaking. One of the best was Andrew Breitbart who is the publisher of Breitbart.com. He is the one that broke the pimp/prostitute story on Acorn which it helping to bring them down. {Also check out biggoverment.com} Acron has been fired from the census taking job. He is also the one that broke a lot of info about the then now resigned green jobs czar Van Jones.
We are making headway. Our politicians are getting nervous and are starting to run scared and make more mistakes. Their arrogance continues to astound me but it will be their downfall. Not too much longer and they will try something desperate like staging an incident that they try to blame on the tea party movement that will give them an excuse to come down on us. As we walked up to the rally we heard two guys talking about that subject. That it would probably eventually come down to bullets but that they would do the first shooting but try to blame it on us. This is probably the reason that the administration is cutting back on defense, stifling the CIA, limiting interrogation of prisoners, and in general not concentrating on our security. They hope that something will happen, some new terrorist attack that will give them excuse to increase surveillance on the citizens and limit our freedoms even more, take control of the internet, crack down on talk radio, etc. The politicians are not stupid. They are not letting our defenses down for no reason. They know that letting down our guard will ultimately bring more attacks. Their ulterior motives are easy to see. When intelligent people do things that don’t make sense. It is not that they are stupid. It is that their motives are concealed.
Keep watching Glenn Beck and you will know what the important issues are and will avoid being side tracked by the politicians who continue to put up diversions.
